Observation Task 7: Classroom management and teacher talk



Beginning and ending the day
Punctuality at the beginning of the lesson
teacher arrives before the pupils

Teacher’s response to those who are late. What does she say?

positive reinforcement: good boy/girl she gave them sticker (reward)



negative reinforcement: shout


Punishment: Take sticker or set in the class when they go play in the area.

Starting the day: what does the teacher say? do?
She say good morning and the students put her pitcher in pored.

Lining up : location
Playground
outside class 
Inside class
Teacher instructions for lining up: what does she say? do?
She say line up and all students stand up in red line after tat go and song
Ending the day: what does the teacher say? /do?
She open the video for dance and song the student do it.
Moving
Moving the children for an activity.
What does she say? do?
They song in Arabic song and the teacher song and the students go to do activities.

Moving the children: how do they respond?
They make line up and they song and move.

Misbehaviour
What was the learner doing?
Speaking with others and don’t lessen.
What did the teacher say? do?
Threaten to take sticker from them.
How did the child respond:
They stay quite and lessen for teacher but there are same students didn’t lesson and the teacher take sticker. 
How does the teacher stop the children at the end of an activity? What does she say? do?
She say finish and clean up and the students song and clean.


Reflection 7
1.    What worked well and why? In my opinion the good way the teacher strategy used start a day what they will do in day to child excited to do it.
2.    What useful tips and strategies did you observe?  Very important tips for learner so that they do the required.
3.    What strategies does the teacher use to manage the children and why? The teacher use many strategy because the child they not same level.
4.    Are there any children in the class with difficult or unusual behavior? How does the teacher deal with these children? Yes it is the teacher punishment.
5.    Overall, is the teacher more negative or positive when dealing with management issues? Why do you think that? Yes she is positive, because she is friendly.
